    Module Overview

    The “ICT in Education” module is designed to help educators integrate ICT tools and strategies into curriculum development, assessment, multimedia creation, and classroom management. Through a combination of interactive presentations, hands-on activities, and collaborative projects, participants will gain practical skills and knowledge to enhance teaching and learning using technology. The course spans six weeks, divided into three units, each lasting two weeks.

  • This unit introduces participants to the use of ICT tools in curriculum design and assessment. Participants will learn how to align technology with educational standards, evaluate ICT tools for classroom use, and design engaging learning activities that incorporate these tools. By the end of this unit, participants will have a foundational understanding of how ICT can enhance both teaching and assessment practices.

    2. Identify and evaluate ICT tools for curriculum development and assessment.

  • This unit focuses on the principles of multimedia design for education. Participants will explore how multimedia elements such as text, graphics, audio, video, and animations can enhance learning outcomes. Through hands-on activities, participants will develop their own multimedia content using tools like blogs, Google Slides, or Canva.

    1. Understand the principles of multimedia design for education.

    2. Develop skills in creating engaging multimedia content using various tools.

    3. Evaluate the effectiveness of multimedia in enhancing learning outcomes.

  • This unit explores how digital tools can streamline classroom organization and administration. Participants will learn how to use Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle or Google Classroom alongside productivity tools like Google Sheets and Docs for communication, collaboration, and assessment.
